The ASB Student Committee is thrilled to share exciting updates about our initiatives as we prepare for ASB 2025 in Pittsburgh. This year, we are driven by our shared passion for biomechanics—a field that inspires innovation, collaboration, and a deep curiosity. After a couple of months of strategic planning, we are ready for action!

Empowering Student Chapters

We believe that building strong connections within our community can fuel creativity and progress. To support ASB student chapters, we’re introducing:

  • Interactive Workshops: Hands-on sessions blending biomechanics and computer science to help you build valuable skills.
  • Industry Insights: Virtual talks by leading professionals, offering real-world perspectives and career guidance.
  • Instagram Pages: Every ASB student chapter will have its own Instagram page! These platforms will highlight chapter events, student achievements, and the incredible ways biomechanics shapes our world.

Let’s celebrate and share our love for biomechanics, one post at a time!

Interlab Journal Club

Biomechanics thrives on collaboration, and the Interlab Journal Club is here to bring us closer. This new initiative will:

  • Unite labs to share research, spark discussions, and learn from one another.
  • Foster meaningful partnerships and inspire groundbreaking ideas.
  • Enhance the quality and impact of our collective work.

We’re so excited to pilot this program—it’s a testament to how much we can accomplish when we work together.

Countdown to ASB 2025 in Pittsburgh

ASB 2025 is shaping up to be an incredible event, and the Student Committee is dedicated to creating opportunities for connection, learning, and inspiration. We want this to be more than an annual meeting—it should be a celebration of the biomechanics community.

We’d love to hear your ideas! Please reach out via email to share your thoughts.

As students, we’re not just learning—we’re shaping the future of this field. Let’s continue to support, inspire, and challenge each other as we explore the possibilities of biomechanics together.
