Namaskar (Hindi), and Kamusta (Filipino) from your Communications Chair!
Last year, NACOB 2022 presented an opportunity for fellow ASB members to experience an in-person Biomechanics conference! This August, ASB 2023 will be the first stand-alone in-person ASB conference since 2018! After two years of holding exciting in-person regional ASB meetings, we are looking forward to seeing you all in Knoxville for the National Meeting!
For updated information, please visit the conference site and connect with us through social media, as we will be sharing more up-to-date information from the conference organizers as well as ASB affiliated groups. Please use @AmSocBiomech, #ASB2023, and #Biomechanics tags in your twitter posts! Looking forward to seeing pictures showing all the amazing Biomechanists discussing amazing science and having fun!
ASB’s Twitter page has been active and has over 7500 followers! We will continue to work to increase our online presence and ASB 2023 is a good platform for that expansion.
Several updates have been made to ASB’s website. Some highlights are listed below:
- The Awards Spotlight page on the ASB webpage has been updated with 2023 winners. Thank you for congratulating the winners on our Twitter page and for all the retweets and likes for the posts about this year’s award winners! Also, please note the times of respective presentations listed on the ASB2023 webpage and in the Awards section of the Newsletter, and plan to attend them!
- In the Resources section, the tab name has been updated to ’Programs and Labs’ and several programs and labs have been added. Every other month an announcement is being sent via e-blast seeking Programs and Labs to add their information. If you have not included your program and/or lab information or need to update it, please reach out to me
- We are undertaking initiatives to highlight fellow biomechanists and labs! So, watch out for some information on that and please help contribute to that!
