ASB 2023 is right around the corner and we are hoping you will find it the best ASB meeting yet!  It will be held at the Knoxville Convention Center, which is within one block of both hotels that can be booked on the ASB 2023 Accommodation page. If you have not been to Knoxville before or you visited more than a few years ago, then it may surprise you. The city has a unique mix of natural beauty, outdoor adventure, cultural attractions, and Southern hospitality. Downtown Knoxville has many amenities in a small, walkable area, and you are only steps away from peace and quiet in the outdoors. You can always use your favorite travel app for destination advice. To help you find your way, the local conference committee members have listed a few of our favorites on the Knoxville Locals’ Guide document along with a map to the best food, beverages, and activities for your visit. Importantly, many of your ride-share drivers will be enjoying the outdoors in places not near the airport, so we strongly recommend that you arrange transportation in advance before you arrive. The program committee has prepared a rich and varied scientific schedule for you (see Program page). Most of your meeting activities, including the pre-conference Workshops and Tutorials, will be at the convention center; however, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville Tours, 5k fun run, and a few scavenger hunt locations will be just a short distance away.
