One of the primary responsibilities of the President-Elect is securing sites for future ASB meetings, so I’m excited to announce the locations of our next two Annual Meetings.
In 2027, we’ll gather in Iowa City, Iowa, for a very special meeting, ASB’s 50th Anniversary! It is especially fitting that we’ll return to Iowa City, the site of the very first ASB meeting. Jason Wilken will serve as Meeting Chair, and we’re looking forward to celebrating five decades of biomechanics with our community. In 2028, we’ll head to Richmond, Virginia, with Carrie Peterson serving as Meeting Chair. A sincere thank you to both Jason and Carrie for stepping up to host us and lead the planning of these future meetings.
Before then, I hope to see many of you at the World Congress of Biomechanics this summer. If you’re attending, please join us for the ASB Business Meeting (General Assembly), awards events, and other ASB gatherings. These opportunities to connect, celebrate our colleagues, and strengthen our community are an important part of what makes ASB so special.
