Greetings to all my fellow ASB members! I am feeling very renewed after the winter break and ready to jump into another semester. I hope each of you feels the same way.

It has been a privilege to serve with the members of the Executive Board. Each member is dedicated to serving the Society. There have been many thoughtful discussions as the Board seeks to consider how each decision impacts our membership. This has been the case as ASB has re-negotiated our contract with our conference management partner, Podium, made decisions about the upcoming annual meeting and Society budget, established a Development committee (chaired by Rakie Cham), and considered the best way to partner with other professional groups in the future.

I am happy to report that ASB is growing in membership and activities, and we remain financially stable. The remaining sections of the Newsletter will provide details demonstrating that ASB is a healthy society. I am truly looking forward to our mid-year Executive Board meeting in February, where we will get a sneak peak of the conference location. The Board continues to consider how we can maintain the supportive and trainee-friendly feel as the society continues to grow. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, comments, or ideas to benefit ASB.

I look forward to seeing all of you in Madison!

Sincerely,

Sara A. Myers
President
