The program is coming together for the ASB 2023 Annual Meeting in Knoxville (August 8-11).  Two keynote speakers have been confirmed, Dr. Catherine Kuo from the University of Maryland, and Dr. Cynthia Reinhart-King from Vanderbilt University.  A wide-ranging slate of workshops and tutorials will kick off the meeting, including new methods in smartphone-based data analysis, strategies for securing federal funding, guidelines for inclusive admissions practices, and a new “Grand Challenge”.  The tradition of the on-site ASB Participant Research Study will continue with a study from Dr. Trent Guess and colleagues on the influence of age on human motor function.

The deadline for symposia proposals was recently extended until February 28.  We anticipate scheduling 3-4 symposia although that number is not set in stone yet.

Don’t forget to submit your abstracts by the general call deadline of March 14, and please note the abstract template has been adjusted a bit from recent versions (it’s more similar to the usual ISB format for 2023).  If you would like to sign up to be an abstract reviewer, this can be indicated on the website when you renew your ASB membership.

Keep an eye on the ASB website, ASB Twitter account, and your email for further updates and details as the meeting approaches.  Please feel free to get in touch with any questions (rosshm@umd.edu).  Looking forward to seeing everyone in Knoxville.
