Namaste from your Communications Chair!

Last year, ASB 2023 in Knoxville was a grand success for being the first stand-alone in-person ASB annual meeting since 2018! Check out the Conference Memories page! We are looking forward to an equally exciting ASB meeting in Madison, WI in August!

For updated information, please visit the meeting site and connect with us through social media, as we will be sharing more up-to-date information from the conference organizers as well as ASB affiliated groups. Please use @AmSocBiomech, #ASB2024, and #Biomechanics tags in your X posts! Looking forward to seeing pictures showing all the amazing Biomechanists discussing amazing science and having fun!

ASB’s X page has been active and has close to 8000 followers! We will continue to work to increase our online presence and ASB 2024 is a good platform for that expansion.

Several updates have been made to ASB’s website. Some highlights are listed below:

  • The Awards Spotlight page on the ASB webpage has been updated with 2024 winners. Hearty congratulations to all the winners! Please note the times of respective presentations listed on the ASB2024 webpage and plan to attend them!
  • Several programs and labs have been updated to the ’Programs and Labs’ webpage and an effort is being made to increase visibility and participation of biomechanists within ASB across different geographical areas of the United States. Watch out for an announcement that is sent via e-blast every other month if you are interested to add or update your program and lab to the list. Alternatively, please reach out to your Communications Chair to update or add new information.

It has been an honor and pleasure to serve on the ASB Executive Board as your Communications Chair. I sincerely thank the leadership for their vision and support to enhance the Society and have appreciated and learned from the thoughtfulness by each and every member of the executive board. I am happy and excited for Evan Dooley, your next Communications Chair, for lending his time and effort to advance our ASB! And I thank you for the opportunity to serve you!
