Dear ASB Members,

Happy New Year! I am honored to be able to serve ASB again on the Executive Board in the Presidential Line for the next 3 years. I loved being able to support our membership in my past experiences on the Board and I look forward to working with the excellent team of board members in the coming years as we work to establish our new Strategic Plan. I hope together we can continue to improve the culture and support for our membership and increase our public advocacy for science. Our relationship with the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) is one we can leverage to speak on behalf of our field and science and scientists generally.

One of the roles of the President-Elect is to partner with our team at Podium to solicit proposals and select the next Annual Meeting site in 2027. We will be putting out a formal call soon for sites interested in hosting – it could be you! If you are interested in learning more about hosting or are considering making a proposal, please reach out to me at asbpresidentelect@asbweb.org.

Thank you to our vibrant membership for your dedication to ASB! It is always such a pleasure to engage with the ASB community at meetings and throughout the year. Please don’t hesitate to send your suggestions to me as we make plans for how to best approach the challenges and opportunities for ASB in the coming year.
