As the academic world starts re-acclimatizing itself to life post-pandemic, one of the pre-pandemic practices most of us are eagerly looking forward to is having the in-person conferences back! With NACOB 2022 just about a month away, we are eagerly looking forward to re-connecting with all of you in-person after having the ASB conference virtually for two consecutive years! A glimpse of this was clearly visible at this year’s enthusiastic regional ASB meetings that were held in-person!

For updated information, please visit the conference site and connect with us through social media, as we will be sharing more up-to-date information from the conference organizers as well as ASB affiliated groups. Please use @AmSocBiomech, @NACoBiomechs, @ASB2022_NACOB, #NACOB2022, and #Biomechanics tags in your twitter posts! Looking forward to seeing pictures showing all the amazing Biomechanists discussing amazing science and having fun!

ASB’s Twitter page has been active and has over 7000 followers! We will continue to work to increase our online presence and NACOB 2022 is a good platform to expand our online presence!

Several updates have been made to ASB’s website. Some highlights are listed below:

  • The Awards Spotlight page and Awards sub-sections on the ASB webpage have been updated with 2022 winners. Thank you for congratulating the winners on our Twitter page and for all the retweets and likes for the posts about this year’s award winners! Also, please note the times of respective presentations listed on the NACOB programming webpage and in the Awards section of the Newsletter, and plan to attend them!
  • Under Resources – the tab name has been updated to ‘Programs and Labs’ and several programs and labs have been added. Every other month an announcement is being sent via e-blast seeking Programs and Labs to add their information. If you have not included your program and/or lab information or need to update it, please reach out to me.
  • Several other new webpages have been added. For example:
