This is my final newsletter as Education Chair. While we haven’t been “normal” for a majority of my three-year term, I’m thankful for the opportunity to serve the ASB on the Executive Board. Thank you to those who served on the committee, and to those on the Executive Board during my time. I’d also like to congratulate and welcome our new Education Chair, Allison Altman-Singles! As we get back into gear, regional meetings are an extremely important avenue to spread biomechanics. Please consider hosting a regional meeting next spring. Applications for ASB support are due September 30th to Allison, and details can be found on the ASB website. If you’d like more information, or help with where to start planning, please reach out to Allison or me. The Education Committee and ASB were able to support several successful meetings this past spring:
- Mid-South Biomechanics Conference, Memphis, TN, Feb. 18.
- Rocky Mountain ASB Regional Meeting, Estes Park, CO, Apr. 8-9.
- Human Movement Science Research Symposium, Chapel Hill, NC, Apr. 29.
- Great Plains Biomechanics Conference, Omaha, NE, May 18-20.
- Northwest Biomechanics Symposium, Pullman, WA, May 20-21.
